Your included flights are with Qantas and we depart from Sydney or Brisbane. We will assist in booking connecting flights to Brisbane or Sydney for those who live in other parts of Australia. On arrival, you will be transferred to your chosen accommodation and your included hire car will be waiting there for you. Everything is set for a wonderful week of music with your hosts, Jennifer & Stewart.
Once settled in, your week will unfold with a series of lovely things to enjoy…from the different concerts, to local tours, convivial meals with the group and free time to browse the little shops, explore the historic old Kingston area with its Quality Row houses, the convict ruins and museums. Swim in pristine little Emily Bay, (the locals’ ‘swimming pool,’) or just relax and unwind as you take in the incredible natural beauty of the island, with its tall pines, spectacular coastline and rolling green hills. It’s no wonder its visitors keep returning… just as we are…!
The Concerts
Jennifer and Stewart, (soprano and baritone,) be performing together with some of their favourite fellow artists. Accompanist John Woods is always a pleasure to hear and our delightful Operatif String Quartet, keenly anticipated. The concerts are informal and filled with many favourites from Opera, Operetta and Song, best-loved string classics and selected popular repertoire.
Add to these musicians a lively pair of Italians, master accordionist Ross Maio and flautist/vocalist Jim Zappia and we have the perfect mix of melody and fun. This talented pair are always a hit with their wide repertoire of gems from Italy and Europe.
The Island
Aside from the music, credit must also go to the fascinating, pristine little island which hosts our event. It’s a delightful place to explore and enjoy with most clients very happy to drive around and see what they can discover. If you prefer to walk, our accommodation options offer places close to town. Special tours are organised for you so you can learn about the many facets of the island’s colourful history.
Many a convivial meal will be enjoyed in the good company of others who love music and relaxing with new friends.
The Packages
Flights are included and Norfolk Island is only 2 hours off the Australian Coast. We are even covered by Medicare whilst there. It’s certainly a clean, green and safe island to visit and with everything organised for you within our fabulous packages, there’s nothing to do but book and come along!
